The summer of 2024 was a great adventure for us, the Heart Essence Sisters. We had some challenges in the first few months as Heart Essence Sisters and questions often ran through our heads: "Are we on the right track? Does what we are doing make sense? Will people drink cacao in the summer too? Do people like our cacao and the mission behind it? Is there even demand?" But instead of being intimidated by these thoughts, we decided to just try it out. And what can we say? It was the best decision!
We packed up our stand and set off. We visited a few wonderful yoga festivals that gave us the opportunity to share our passion with others. At every stand we set up, we met so many wonderful new people. It's incredible how cacao creates connections - between us and the people who came by to try our cacao and learn more about us and the history of cacao.
The best moment? When Julia gave a talk about the effects and origins of cacao to 40 participants at the Good Mood Event at the VHS Meppen and then led the group through a cacao ceremony. The energy in the room was incredible - it was as if everyone's hearts were beating in unison and their hearts were opening wide.
Moments like this show us that it's not about the perfect event or any kind of sales success, but about the small, real moments of connection that inspire and touch us all.
It's a very special feeling to see how our vision comes to life, how people are excited about our cocoa and what we have to offer and how we can pass on this joy.
This summer has not only confirmed to us that we are on the right path, but has also given us the courage to continue to follow our dreams - with trust, an open heart and always a portion of cacao in our luggage.
We are looking forward to what the future will bring us and are excited to see what adventures next summer has in store for us!
